NFL hosts London Series stars at new office

NFL Hospitality previewed the 2017 London Series at the NFL’s new office in central London, with a special visit from several of the players from this autumn’s games.

They included Brandon Williams, a 340-pound defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens; offensive lineman Joel Bitonio, a second-round draft pick by the Cleveland Browns; Miami Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills; defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, from the Arizona Cardinals; Pro Bowl punter Johnny Hekker from the Los Angeles Rams; and English-born defensive end Alex Jenkins of the New Orleans Saints.

Neil Reynolds of Sky Sports hosted the evening, together with New York Giants legend Osi Umenyiora, as the players took questions about the forthcoming games and their excitement about playing in London. Other guests included former England rugby union captain Martin Johnson.

The NFL London Games will see four matchups this year, kicking off with the Baltimore Ravens v Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley on Sunday 24 September, when the Jaguars will be chasing their third successive London victory, against a Ravens team inspired by Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco.

New Orleans Saints take on Miami Dolphins at Wembley on Sunday 1 October, when London-born running back Jay Ajayi returns with the Dolphins to take on the Saints, led by Super Bowl-winning quarterback Drew Brees.

Twickenham will also host two games this year, with the L.A. Rams returning to the stadium to take on Arizona Cardinals on Sunday 22 October. The Rams’ star running back Todd Gurley will battle it out with Cardinals’ legendary wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and running back David Johnson.

Cleveland Browns, the ultimate NFL underdog, together with their celebrated ‘Dawg Pound’ fans round off the series on Sunday 29 October, against the Minnesota Vikings, with Moritz Boehringer from Germany – the first European player ever to be drafted straight into the NFL last year.

NFL UK managing director Alistair Kirkwood said: “We are thrilled with the response from the fans to this season’s four games. The speed with which they have snapped up the tickets shows the great passion that exists for the NFL in the UK and the excitement generated by our games. We are pleased to be offer hospitality packages that reflect the premium level of the action on the field.”

NFL Hospitality offers ‘the ultimate game day experience’, with premium seat tickets, pre-game meal with complimentary bar and exciting entertainment, for those people looking for something extra special.
